Before and After Care for Waxing and Laser

Without the right prep or aftercare, waxing and laser treatments can cause discomfort, irritation, or reduced effectiveness. Too little care, or the wrong kind, can lead to breakouts, patchy results, or longer recovery.

Some exfoliate too aggressively before treatments or apply fragranced creams afterward, both of which can irritate the skin. Others skip post-treatment care entirely. Establishing a balanced routine ensures skin remains healthy and results are long-lasting.

Before treatment: exfoliate gently, avoid sun exposure, stay hydrated, and skip intense exercise. After treatment: no hot baths or sauna for 24 hours, apply fragrance-free moisturisers, and wear loose clothing.

Laser aftercare may also include SPF and cooling gel. Consistency and simplicity are key, let your skin breathe, heal, and adapt.
